A LOVE EXTRAVAGANT AND A FRIENDSHIP SO INTIMATE!

I love the rendition of this passage! A grace so amazing, a love extravagant, and a friendship so intimate! How romantic is this expression? All for us, we need to relish the attention the Father has for us. It is such a sin to be a child of God and walk about feeling dejected and discouraged. It is such a shame that Satan would have us look down on our heritage like we are a defeated people. Have you ever been to an extravagant party? Do you notice how wealth is lavished? It is something parents warn us NOT to be because of limited resources. It connotes an almost wasteful attitude to wealth, like it will never finish. Well guess what? God’s love is like this…abundantly overflowing! The friendship is intimately romantic.

The provision is there because He loves us. Please cheer up. Recognize that the discouragement we feel sometimes is NOT from the Lord. It is Satan’s way to ensure we do not see the depth of Gods intention towards us. Reject it & embrace His love. Bask in his intimate friendship and be enveloped in amazing grace. Not because you deserve it, but because He has paid the price for you!

Sometimes even while “dwelling” in His presence, we sometimes get carnal. We are moved by jealousy and envy as we see supposedly “wicked” people or “unbelievers” do well and we wonder why them and not us. We often get bitter & angry that our faithfulness seems unrewarded and unnoticed by God and as we get totally consumed by these fleshly thoughts our judgment and reasoning gets clouded. It affects our faith and confuses us with all kinds of emotions. Yet through it all, our faithful Father and Friend who understands our weaknesses holds out His hand and gently guides us back to truth.
Our response to issues of life is a fall out of our intimacy with the Lord. He always has His hands stretched out to us, but do we reach back out to Him? Forget about what is going on with your colleague, friend or neighbor. Try not to be judgmental and critical. There is always a plan. You do not know that plan, but you know the One behind it. So you serve the Lord. Hold his hand. Forget about “them”. Stay focused & follow just a little closer and be grateful for the blessings He has for you.
We are living in a time of pressing concerns. So many needs, challenges, problems and trials. However, we also live in a time of great opportunity! People have condemned the age we live in but I believe that this is the very best of times to live! (Romans 5:20-…The law was added so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more). We are in a time of so much grace, we are in a time of the Mighty move of God (Acts 2:17- Acts 2:17 “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams), we are in a time of clear revelation! God is in a hurry to do so much with men and so our mandate is to look for people everywhere and get them into His house.
Don’t ever go a day without inviting someone to an opportunity to meet your Savior. Invite them to church, to house fellowship, to midweek meetings, to night vigils, to group studies. Share something with them. Put a Word on FB, on twitter….get excited about it. He wants to do so much more but He wants to do it in His house, so get out there and anyone you find, with any kind of issue challenge or story, drag ‘em in! There’s room for everyone in Gods Kingdom. Let’s do this!
"Then the master told his servant, 'Go out to the roads and country lanes and make them come in, so that my house will be full. Luke 14:23
All the saints send their greetings. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.                                       - 2 Corinthians 13:14

God is loving and exceedingly kind. God knows all too well the feeling of loneliness felt by Jesus when betrayed. When He carried our sins and became the ultimate sacrifice, He did it all alone...rejected and forsaken by all…even His Father. He knows how we feel when we have burdens to share and no one to share them with, and so He made a provision for us in the Church: His Body! Do not despair Child of God. You are not alone. The Lord is near you. He is Strong on behalf weak and small. He defends those who cannot afford an advocate. He picks all who feel alone and places them in families of Grace. The Lord will send You a helper. The Lord will comfort you in your trial. He will surround you with the right people and turn every loneliness to a precious fellowship of love.

Waiting isn’t easy! We toil day in and out and put in so much effort for a better life and sometimes it seems like our efforts are not yielding results. Today’s word encourages us to be patient just like the farmer. Believing this scripture presupposes that there is a time of harvest. Believing this stabilizes us. There is a definite time of harvest for you. Do not lose your joy. What are you waiting for? A job, a car, a spouse, kids, a promotion? Just hang in there. The precious fruit of the earth is about to yield for you. You will receive both the “early rain” and the “latter rain”!
